Swiss Bio Hygienic Equipment (SBE), a joint venture of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd Bangladesh, Bio Engineering Switzerland and AMS Technology of Germany, has opened 'Electro Polishing Plant' at Dhamrai in the outskirts of Dhaka city on Saturday.
Senior Secretary of Economic Division Kazi Shafiqul Azam formally inaugurated the plant at Krishnapura Sahebelishor area of Dhamrai, said a press release on Sunday.
Kazi Shafiqul Azam, in his speech, said no such plant currently exists in the country. He shared plans of export after fulfilling the local demand. He also highlighted earning substantial foreign currency through exports and mentioned that local medicine producers avail manufacturing equipments from China, Japan and Germany apparently.
The instigators said that a new era in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is about to take place with the start of Swiss Bio Hygienic Equipment Electro Polishing Plant.
Major General Md Mustafizur Rahman, director general of the Directorate General of Drug Administration, Swiss Ambassador Rene Holinstein, SM Shafiquzzaman, secretary general of the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries were also present among others at the inaugural ceremony.
