Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders’ Association (BAYLA), a platform of the young entrepreneurs of the country’s garments sector, was launched in the city on Saturday.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was present at the inauguration programme as the chief guest.
Narrating the objectives of the BAYLA, its president Abrar Hossain Sayem said one of the main goals of this platform would be to unite all the leading organisations related to this sector in a bid to ensure further growth of the RMG sector.
He said BAYLA wants to make qualitative changes in the RMG industry to enhance its contribution to the national economy.
Branding Bangladesh through optimisation of supply chain, ensure sustainability in the sector, diversification, innovation, are the key targets of this platform.
Wishing success of the BAYLA, commerce minister Tipu Munshi said the government is committed to everything possible for the growth of the RMG sector.
