Bahrain recently discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations with Bangladesh and underscored the role of private sector in this regard.
The discussion took place when Bangladesh’s State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan met Bahrain’s Finance Minister Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa at the latter’s office in Manama.
BSS says both sides pointed out sectors like pharmaceuticals and tourism as potential areas of cooperation between the two countries.
The Bahrain finance minister said that any government plan or initiative has to be relevant in the context of time for success and achieving desired goals.
The country in the Arab Gulf also vowed to extend their support for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
MA Mannan who was on a three-day visit to Bahrain also had a meeting with chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khaled A. Almoyaed and discussed with him issues related to bilateral trade and commerce.
Khaled A. Almoyaed assured his full support for enhancing trade relations with Bangladesh.
