Afghanistan has shown interest in importing quality products from Bangladesh including pharmaceuticals, readymade garments and other consumer goods.
Newly appointed Ambassador of Afghanistan to Bangladesh Abdul Qayoom Malikzad met State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam at the latter's office on Wednesday and discussed various bilateral issues.
The State Minister welcomed the new Ambassador and assured him of all kind of support to further enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.
They discussed the entire gamut of the bilateral relations built up on common history and traditional linkages of the two nations, said the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka.
The state Minister reiterated Bangladesh's willingness to deepen bilateral ties with Afghanistan and its readiness to be a trusted development partner, reports UNB.
The new Ambassador emphasised further enhancing brotherly bilateral relations especially boosting the trade linkages.
The State Minister wished Ambassador Malikzad a successful tenure in Bangladesh.
