ActionAid Bangladesh will arrange a research sharing event on ‘Commemorating the 6th Anniversary of Rana Plaza Building Collapse’ on 16th April in Dhaka.
A follow-up survey on the current situation of Rana Plaza survivors will be shared. Moreover, a report titled ‘4 Million Making 50 Billion: Where RMG Sector Stands 6 Years After Rana Plaza’ with some core issues will be presented.
The issues are Compensation and Insurance: Social Security of Workers · Inequality in The Global Garment Value Chain: Wage and Gender Equality.
Rubana Huq, President, BGMEA, Winnie Estrup Petersen, Ambassador, Embassy of Denmark, Tuomo Poutiainen, Country Director, ILO Bangladesh, Shamsunnahar Bhuiyan MP, Member, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Labour and Employment, Nazneen Ahmed, Senior Research Fellow, BIDS, Dr. Khondokar Golam Moazzem, Director (Research), CPD and Rajekuzzaman Ratan, General Secretary, Socialist Labour Front, will attend as speakers.
Farah Kabir, Country Director, ActionAid Bangladesh will moderate.
