Some 37 companies have got land allocation in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City, of which five are currently manufacturing there.
They have made investment worth Tk 3.27 billion and created employment for more than 13,000 people in the country's first and the largest hi-tech park, being established on 355 acres of land in Gazipur.
These were revealed in a virtual view-exchange meeting with the investors, organised by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) on Sunday, a statement said.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), briefed the investors on the occasion.
Mr Palak said the government is working to establish 39 hi-tech parks, software technology parks, and incubation centres across the country.
"The hi-tech parks are getting shape in different parts of the country, and becoming the dream destinations for local youths."
Besides, the ICT Division is also installing Sheikh Kamal IT training and incubation centres.
Assuring the investors of providing all-out support, the state minister also said: "The government has always been supportive to the investors, and it will continue doing so."
The BHTPA is providing 148 types of services through its one stop service (OSS) centre, of which 20 are available online.
The current government is establishing Digital Bangladesh, defying all kinds of conspiracy, he added.
The BHTPA officials and investors joined the discussion.
According to the state-run entity, Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park, located in Jashore, has drawn investment worth Tk 600 million.
The BHTPA is also establishing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park on 31 acres of land in Rajshahi.
The agency completed construction of Rajshahi and Natore IT training and incubation centres, while construction of 10 other facilities is going on.
