About 26 international flights failed to meet their departure schedules at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Monday.
From 12:00am to 12:00pm, those 26 international flights were late for 10 minutes to nearly one hour than their original departure times, said sources at Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).
Of them, MH 197 was scheduled to leave for Kuala Lumpur at 12:30am, but it departed at 1:22am, making a 52-minute late.
Another flight of Emirates Airlines took off for Dubai at 1:02am, making 14 minutes delay.
A flight of Saudi Airlines departed the airport for Jeddah at 1:44am, making one hour late.
Besides, a couple of international flights could not meet their arrival schedules at the airport. BG 087 from Kuala Lumpur arrived at 4:15am, which was scheduled to come at 1:20am.
BG 0122 from Muscat landed at the airport at 11:27am, making a 42-minute late.
However, from 12:00am to 12:00pm, at least 20 other international flights arrived at Dhaka maintaining their schedules, the sources added.
