20 int’l flights miss departure schedules at HSIA

About 20 international flights failed to meet their departure schedules at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Sunday.

From 12:00am to 11:30am, those 20 international flights were late for 10 minutes to 53 minutes than their original departure times, said sources at Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

Of them, Turkish Airlines was scheduled to leave for Istanbul at 7:25 am, but it departed at 8:18 am, making a 53-minute late.

 BG084 departed for Singapore at 9:00am, making 35 minutes delay.

Another flight took off for Kolkata at 9:00am, making 45 minutes late.

Besides, a couple of international flights could not meet their arrival schedules at the airport. BG 087 from Kuala Lumpur arrived at 6:09am, which was scheduled to come at 6:00am, making 9 minutes late.

BG 128 from Abu Dhabi landed at the airport at 9:04am, making 14 minutes delay.

However, from 12:00am to 11:30am, among the 22 international flights, 20 arrived at Dhaka maintaining their arrival schedules, the sources added.
