Some 18 companies received 20 ISO certificates from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Wednesday for ensuring international management standard.
BSTI Director General Abdus Sattar handed over the documents to the representatives of the recipient companies - at a ceremony held in the BSTI headquarters in the city's Tejgaon area, a statement said.
Of the 18 recipients, seven companies newly got the certification, while the certifications of 11 companies were renewed.
Of the new companies, Agro Fruits and Vegetable Limited received ISO 22000:2018, OFS Cables Limited ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015, JMI Syringe and Medical Device ISO 14001:2015, Chowdhury Metal Industries Limited ISO 9001:2015, Boral Chemicals Limited ISO 9001:2015, Universal Medical College and Hospital ISO 9001:2015, and Khadija Plastic Industries Limited received ISO 9001:2015.
The companies, whose certifications were renewed, include Haque Food and Industries Limited's ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 2200:2018, JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing's ISO 9001:2015, BD Food's ISO 22000:2018, Rigs Herb's ISO 22000:2018, Cemix Chemicals' ISO 9001:2015, Mango pulp unit of Igloo Foods' ISO 22000:2018, Chemito International's ISO 9001:2015, Dream Mushroom Centre's ISO 9001:2015, Amber Board Mills' ISO 9001:2015, Nita Company's ISO 9001:2015, and Allegro Suite's ISO 9001:2015.
BSTI is a member body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
