The 4-day 13th global summit of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) begins in Dhaka today (Monday).
BRAC Bank, the only banks in Bangladesh with all GABV principles embedded in its operation, is hosting the summit, sources said.
Chief executives of GABV member organisations in 43 countries are expected to take part in the summit.
The GABV is an international network or frontrunner organisations and leaders in the banking industry that use finance to serve people and planet. The collective goal of the alliance is to make the banking system more transparent and support positive economic, social and environmental change.
The GABV, founded in 2009 by ten pioneer banks, now comprises 70 banks and financial institutions operating in more than 40 countries in six continents, including Asia.
