On average, 1055 new motorcycles took to the road across the country daily in the first four months of the current calendar year.
Statistics available with Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) showed that some 126,694 new motorcycles got registration in January-April.
If annualised, the average number would be 347 considering 365 days in a year.
The BRTA data also showed that the number of newly registered motorcycles in Dhaka stood at 32,562 during the period under review.
In the past year some 325,599 new motorcycles got registration across the country while it was 75,252 in the capital.
