MJL Bangladesh dominated the transaction chart of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Monday while top ten traded companies captured nearly 37 per cent turnover.

Turnover, the crucial indicator of the market, stood at Tk 5.96 billion on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on the day, which was nearly 30 per cent higher than the previous session.

MJL Bangladesh, LankaBangla Finance, Brac Bank, IFAD Autos, Beximco Pharma, Shahjibazar Power, Summit Power, Square Pharma, Appollo Ispat and United Power were the most-active shares in terms of value on the DSE.

Of them, share price of eight companies rose up to 6.42 per cent while two companies faced mild correction.

According to statistics available with the DSE, some 2.94 million MJL shares were traded on the day, generating a turnover of nearly Tk 363 million, which was 6.10 per cent of the day's total turnover value.

The joint venture company's share price hovered between Tk 121.30 and Tk 124.40, before closing at Tk 123.40 on Monday, advancing1.73 per cent over the previous session.

The company has reported un-audited third quarter (Q3), consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for January-March, 2017 period was Tk 1.96 as against Tk1.37 for the same period a year ago.
