Japan’s Tokyo stocks advanced on Wednesday tracking gains on Wall Street overnight with investors relieved about potentially easing global trade tensions.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 154.71 points, or 0.68 per cent, from Tuesday to 22,968.18, reports Xinhua.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 12.78 points, or 0.74 per cent, at 1,744.41.
Marine transportation, nonferrous metal and precision instrument-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
