A total of seven more listed companies disclosed their un-audited second quarter (Q2) earnings for October-December period of 2017, according to official disclosures on Thursday.
Of them, earnings per share (EPS) of four companies increased while three companies earnings decreased in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
The companies which EPS increased are: Monno Jute Stafflers, Generation Next Fashions, Alif Industries and Meghna Cement.
Monno Stafflers: The earnings per share of Monno Jute Stafflers jumped by 791 per cent to Tk 1.07 for October-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.12 for October-December, 2016.
In six months for July-December, 2017, the company’s EPS was Tk 1.53 as against Tk 0.37 for July-December, 2016.
The net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was Tk 17.53 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.24 for July-December, 2016.
The net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 46.96 as on December 31, 2017 and Tk 52.25 as on June 30, 2017.
Generation Next: Consolidated EPS of the company increased to Tk 0.27 for October-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.10 for October-December, 2016.
In six months, consolidated EPS was Tk 0.54 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.21 for July-December, 2016.
The consolidated NOCFPS was Tk 0.44 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.23 for July-December, 2016. Consolidated NAV per share was Tk 12.12 as on December 31, 2017 and Tk 11.59 as on June 30, 2017.
Alif Industries: The Company’s EPS stood at Tk 1.39 for October-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.75 for October-December, 2016.
In six months, EPS was Tk 2.04 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 1.31 for July-December, 2016.
The NOCFPS was Tk 0.17 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.02 for July-December, 2016. NAV per share was Tk 26.18 as on December 31, 2017 and Tk 24.14 as on June 30, 2017.
Meghna Cement: The EPS of the company was Tk 0.17 for October-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.07 for October-December, 2016.
In six months, EPS was Tk 0.39 for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.23 for July-December, 2016. NOCFPS was Tk (7.76) for July-December, 2017 as against Tk 0.50 for July-December, 2016.
The NAV per share was Tk 35.10 as on December 31, 2017 and Tk 36.71 as on June 30, 2017.
On the other hand, EPS of Baraka Power, Golden Son and Samata Leather decreased in October-December quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
