DSE mobile app users have to wait for two more weeks to get full trading hours services as the prime bourse extended the maintenance work time frame until February 11.
“The maintenance work Order Management System (OMS) of DSE is going on from January 11 and shall continue for the next two weeks to improve its performance,” Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) said through a web posting on Monday.
As such, the DSE mobile app trading service will be available to the users from 10:15 am to 2:00 pm until February 11, 2021, according to the DSE.
After that, the DSE mobile app service will be available for all sessions and full trading hours -- from 9:45 am to 2:40 pm.
Earlier, the DSE reduced time for conducting trading through mobile app users from 10:15 am to 2:00 pm until February 1 required improving performance of the exchange’s order management system.
The premier bourses has decided to maintenance work Order Management System (OMS) and improve mobile app performance as stock investors faced problems executing trade through the system amid participation influxes.
The problem was turning acute in the first and last few minutes of the designated trading period, for which the bourse has decided to allow mobile trading from 10:15 am to 2:00 pm.
The DSE launched the app on March 9, 2016 to bring ease to the trading of stocks and give a boost to the market.
The app was developed by FlexTrade Systems. Apart from executing buy and sale orders, the app features real time display of market and trading statistics, company and portfolio status, company news, and purchase and sale alerts.
The DSE witnessed the decade’s highest turnover of Tk 25.46 billion on January 5 this year. The daily average turnover of the premier bourse was more than 15 billion in the past few weeks.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, also hit 22 months high to 5909 on January 14.
