Dhaka bourse displayed volatility in the early of Tuesday’s session amid price correction witnessed by some major sectors.
The market opened positively and soon later the DSE broad index DSEX displayed ups and downs.
The DSEX declined 0.12 per cent or 7.20 points to 5897.02 points at 11.30 am.
The shariah based index DSES lost 0.01 point to reach at 1329.43 points.
The DS30 index comprising blue chip securities declined 0.16 per cent of 3.37 points to 2043.39 points.
Of total issues are being traded, 149 advanced, 129 declined and 47 were unchanged.
The turnover stood at above Tk 2.59 billion within one hour of the Tuesday’s session.
Provati Insurance was on top of the turnover chart with a value of Tk 141 million followed by Eastern Housing, United Power Generation and Distribution Company, National Polymer Industries and Grameenphone.
After one hour of the session, the broad index DSEX recovered the loss and stood at 5921.94 points with a rise of 0.30 per cent or 17.72 points.
