CSE, BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage sign API sharing agreement

BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limitedhas signed an agreement with the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) to use the CSE’s Application Programme Interface (API) for its Order Management System (OMS).

BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited will now be able to trade directly from the house's trading platform using its own interface, said a news release on Wednesday.

It added that the sharing of the APIs by both bourses will enable BRAC Stock Brokerageto serve its clients more efficiently.

“BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage is committed to providing superior service to its customers and the API sharing will allow this leading brokerage firm to reach out to more clients through their own OMS,” it said in the release.

Mr. Hasnain Bari, Deputy General Manager and Head of IT services, CSE, and Mr. AhsanurRahman, Chief Executive Officer, BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Ltd., signed the agreement at the CSE's Dhaka office on Monday.

Mr. Md. GhulamFaruque, CSE Managing Director (In-charge), Mr. Rahi Reza, CSE Deputy Manager, and Mr. Kumaresh Saha, Head of Premium Brokerage Services & ICC, Mr. Prottay Kundu, Head of Finance and Accounts and Administration, Mr. Moynul Islam, Head of IT, and other senior management of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage and CSE, were present at the signing ceremony.

 

The bourses are sharing their API with brokers so that they can combine the bourses' basic trading systems with their own OMS, which lessens the pressure on the bourses' default OMS and allows brokers to offer customised and personalised services through their OMS to their clients, said the release.
