CSE board embraces new director

Shareholders of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) approved on Thursday 5.0 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30 last.

The shareholders also approved the audited financial statement, among others, of the port city bourse.

The approvals came at the company's 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the CSE Conference Hall at Agrabad in Chattogram.

Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, chairman of the port city bourse, conducted the AGM.

The CSE board of directors Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed FCMA, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayub Islam, Prof. S. M. Salamat Ullah Bhuiyan, Pradip Paul FCA, FCMA, Mirza Salman Ispahani, Major (Retd.) Emdadul Islam, Shahjada Mahmud Chaudhuri, Md. Sayadur Rahman and Managing Director M. Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar, and Company Secretary Rajib Saha FCS were present at the AGM.

The CSE shareholders also elected Md. Sayadur Rahman, managing director of the EBL Securities, director of the board.
