Bay Leasing recommends 10pc cash dividend

The board of directors of Bay Leasing & Investment Ltd has recommended 10 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The final approval of the dividend will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on June 30 in Dhaka, said an official disclosure on Sunday.

The record date for entitlement of dividend is June 13.

The company has also reported consolidated EPS of Tk. 1.60, consolidated NAV per share of Tk. 19.43, and consolidated NOCFPS of Tk. 4.48 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk. 1.18 (restated), Tk. 19.00 (restated), and Tk. 0.20 respectively for the same period of the previous year.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today (Sunday) following its corporate declaration.

Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2009, closed at Tk 17.10 on Thursday last.

Last year, the company's share traded between Tk 15.50 and Tk 25.30 each.

Bay Leasing also disbursed 10 per cent cash dividend in 2017.

The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 1.37 million and authorised capital is Tk 3.0 billion while the total number of securities is 137.45 million.

The sponsor-directors own 28.26 per cent stake in the company, while the institutional investors own 37.22 per cent, foreign investors 0.34 per cent, and the general public 34.18 per cent as on April 30, 2019, the DSE data shows.
