Tigers want to exploit final warm-up against India today

After the first warm-up against Pakistan was washed out due to persistent rain, the Tigers are now gearing up to face India, who ranked two in the ICC ODI teams, in the final warm-game before the ICC World Cup today (Tuesday) at the Sophia Garden in Cardiff, report agencies.

The match will start at 3:30 (BdST) and will be telecast by Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD.

The match came as the final chance for the Tigers to sort out their best combination before the World Cup. Right before going to England and Wales to participate in the biggest cricketing event, the Tigers have won their first-ever multinational ODI tournament in Ireland.

While Bangladesh are disappointed due to failing to play the first warm-up game, India are also dissatisfied as they lost their first warm-up game to New Zealand. India suffered a rare batting collapse in the match.

Bangladesh need to prove their worth on the today's (Tuesday) battle against India.

Shakib, who missed the final of the tri-nation series in the Ireland due to an injury, got the India match his as last chance to get prepared ahead of the World Cup. The match is also important for Sabbir Rahman, who failed to impress in the final. He came to bat at number three in the absence of Shakib but got dismissed without adding anything on the board.

After the warm-up game against India, the Tigers will host their camp in London where they will play first two of their World Cup battles against South Africa and New Zealand respectively on June 02 and 05.

Meanwhile, after a well-rounded performance against the second ranked India at The Oval, New Zealand look to maintain consistency when they take on West Indies in their last warm-up game today (Tuesday).

New Zealand have well and truly announced themselves as a side to be respected at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019, after their convincing victory against India on Saturday. Their new-ball pair of Tim Southee and Trent Boult exploited the conditions to great effect to get rid of the strong Indian top-order, before the all-rounders, Colin de Grandhomme and James Neesham took over. Trent Boult's rhythm and accuracy must've surely given ominous signs to all the top-order batsmen in the competition.

West Indies will be desperate to get some match practice, after their first warm-up game was cut short due to rain on Sunday. The essence of this match increases further given the fact that their senior players Chris Gayle, Andre Russell weren't a part of the recently concluded tri-series in Ireland. Chris Gayle's form during the home series against England and Shai Hope's consistency in recent times will act as a huge morale booster for the two-time World champions.
