Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan were at the crease with 24 and 5 runs respectively at stumps in the final test of the series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket.
Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first Sri Lanka scored 222 for all in the first innings.
Kusal Mendis was the top scorer with 68 runs while Roshen Silva scored 56.
Veteran Abdur Razzak made a dream return to test cricket after four years claiming four Lankan scalps for 63 runs.
Taijul Islam also got four wickets with 83 runs while Mustafizur took two wickets.
In reply, the Tigers found them in deep water losing the top order with just 45 runs on the board giving the visiting team the edge in the final test of the series.
The first test ended in a stalemate draw.
