All-rounder Nasir Hossain hit a magnificent unbeaten double hundred as Rangpur Division dominated the third day over Barisal Division in the four-day 19th National Cricket League (NCL) held on Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, reports BSS.

Rangpur resumed the third day with overnight score of 264. Nasir and Ariful Haque continued to pile up the runs as their partnership reached 368. On the third day, Rangpur lost the only wicket of Ariful who played a magnificent innings of 162-run off 290 balls laced with 10 boundaries and two over boundaries.

The dependable all-rounder Nasir played an impressive knock of 270 off 467 balls laced with 29 boundaries and three over boundaries to keep his wicket intact for the fourth day's play along with Dhiman Ghosh who was unbeaten with 5 runs. Monir Hossain bagged 3 for 151 runs.

In another match, Sylhet Division suffered early batting jolt to chase the massive winning target of 459 set by Chittagong Division as they lost two early wickets after the third day's play of tier-2 sixth round of four-day National Cricket League held on Friday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.

Sylhet Division still trailed by 380 runs and they have eight wickets in hand with one more day to go after Sylhet finished the third day at 78 for 2 with Imtiaz Hossain and Enamul Haque Jr on the crease with 9 and 2 runs respectively.

M Saifuddin and Ifthekar Sazzad Rony of Chittagong Division shared one wicket each.

Earlier, overnight batsman Yasir Ali scored a magnificent uneaten knock of 102 runs off 176-ball laced with seven boundaries and three over boundaries after Chittagong Division resumed their second innings on the third day (Friday) with overnight score at 189 and finally declared at 380 for 7, taking a massive 458-run overall lead.
