Mustafizur becomes Tigers’ fastest bowler to claim 50 ODI wickets

Cutter master Mustafizur Rahman has become the 1st Bangladesh bowler to get fastest 50 wickets in ODI cricket and jointly 13th in the world along five others.

He recorded the feat during the final of the seven-match Tri-nation series, bowling out big hitter Upul Tharanga when Sri Lanka scored 158/4 in 35.3 overs at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday, according to a UNB report.

Mustafizur is now sharing the feat with Waqar Younis (Pakistan), Shane Bond (New Zealand), Lonwabo Tsotsobe (South Africa), Clint McKay (Australia), and Pat Cummins (Australia).

Mustafizur conceded at average 19.22 runs in 26 innings with recording economic 4.63, playing so far 27 ODIs. He made ODI debut against India in June 2015 in Dhaka.
