A Chennai-based performance analyst Shrinivas Chandrasekaran is all set to join the Bangladesh cricket team as High Performance Analyst.

Shrinivas is going to be part of Bangladesh team ahead of the tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in Dhaka starting from January 15.

The 27-year-old analyst was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team which won the IPL in 2016 and has been part of the Sunrisers' set up for the past three seasons, reports, The Times of India.

"It's my first international assignment. I'm excited and looking forward to it. It will be a completely different experience. It's going to be a good challenge for me. Hope the team does well," said Shrinivas.

Shrinivas is no stranger to Bangladesh cricket set up as he has worked with a few teams in the Bangladesh Premier League over the past few years and the experience should come in handy.

In the final of the 2016 IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Shrinivas played a key hand in Sunrisers' camp in devising a specific strategy for RCB batsmen Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle.
