BCB won’t allow Taskin to play in IPL

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will not allow Taskin Ahmed to play the Indian Premier League amid the ongoing South Africa tour.

Confirming the information, the Cricket Operations Chairman of BCB Jalal Yunus said,” Taskin already informed the Lucknow Supergiants that he won’t be available for the IPL.”

“The BCCI contacted us recently over Taskin’s availability. We informed them that we won't recommend Taskin to choose IPL over international commitments.”

Earlier on Monday, it came to light that IPL franchise Lucknow Supergiants wanted the Bangladeshi speedstar. The franchise wants him as the replacement of Mark Wood for the whole season.

Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of the franchise, contacted BCB asking for the availability of Taskin in the tournament.

Only Mustafizur Rahman will play in the upcoming IPL from Bangladesh. He was bought by Delhi Capitals for three seasons.
