Sri Lanka lost all wickets to score 221 runs against Bangladesh in the final of the Tri-nation series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.

The Sri Lankan innings came to an end on the last ball with the run out of Suranga Lakmal.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the Sri Lankans struggled against the Bangladesh attack. The top scorers were Upul Tharanga (56), captain Dinesh Chandimal (45), and Niroshan Dickwella (42).

Rubel Hossain was the most successful of Bangladesh’s bowlers, taking four wickets for 46. Mustafizur Rahman bowled a lean ten overs, taking two wickets for 29 and becoming the fastest Bangladeshi player to take 50 wickets, according to a bdnews24 report.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was escorted off the pitch after landing badly during a dive and was replaced by Nasir Hossain for the rest of the innings.
