12-day Gaming Tournament held

CGL Esports, an organisation run by youths, organised a 12-day Gaming Tournament on Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) campus in the capital that ended  on December 30, said a press release.

A total of 12 teams participated and among them, the best eight teams got the chance to play the CSGO LAN tournament.

Professional players from all around Bangladesh participated in the gaming contest to become the winner of the title ‘CGL CSGO MASTERS LAN’.

Gaming has come a long way since its release in 1958.

People around the world have accepted gaming as a career while some play games in their leisure as an escape from reality, said the press release. 

Global esports revenues are expected to exceed $1 billion this year, according to Newzoo’s 2021 Global Esports & Live Streaming Market Report.

And it is expected to reach $1.6 billion by 2024.

Esports in Bangladesh is still growing, CGL Esports despite being run by youth still managing to keep it growing, according to the press release.
