Team Bonsai wins Digital Khichuri Challenge

Being inspired by the success of the first ‘Digital Khichuri Challenge’ in 2016, the innovative competition returned this year with an aim to promote peace, tolerance and cultural diversity in Bangladesh.

The three-day long competition was organised by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Bangladesh and supported by the ICT Division Bangladesh, Facebook and Microsoft, said a press release on Wednesday.

Youths of Bangladesh from diverse backgrounds came up with innovative solutions to develop and produce new digital platforms using existing technologies.

Team Bonsai won this year’s ‘Digital Khichuri Challenge 2017’ with a cheque of 2,500 USD for their idea of Anu-Bot, an automated online messenger app that will listen to the problems of juveniles and give a solution to manage their anger and stress.

Team Jagoron became the first runner-up and team She Tara was the second.

At the closing ceremony, a special jury announced the winning ideas, selected as per public voting on their Facebook page.
