Dyson, the renowned Singaporean electronics appliance company, has come up with a special pair of headphones that can mitigate noise and air pollution.
A specific type of air purification technology is built-in inside the headphones, whose effect is amplified due to the presence of a magnetic face visor.
The headphones named ‘ZONE’ are the latest in the addition of Dyson’s innovative electronic devices. Although it has been regarded by many to be the most pioneering product the company came up with so far.
Dyson announced this product on the 30th of March, 2022. A complete release date will be announced soon along with the various details regarding the headphones.
According to a report by Verge, a prominent American Technology Magazine, the goal of the ZONE is to make living in urban spaces more comfortable by attempting to get rid of the disastrous effects of both air and sound pollution.
The device utilises compressors to filter out most of the particles and pollutants and also miniaturises the existing air filtration technology into a peculiar form factor.
The Visor hangs in front of one’s face and provides a gap where some clean air can come and be inhaled by a person. It also uses a series of magnets which play an instrumental role in the overall functioning of the device. Multiple setting manuals are also provided for different levels of exertion.
According to Verge magazine, the device seems to execute every function claimed by the company.
As per the Company, the device can cancel out up to 99 per cent of pollutant particles, although the filters cannot be used for a long time as they need to be replaced after about a year.
The headphones are a bit old fashioned compared to the overall setup of the entire device, they are also quite big and bulky, although this is a testament to the fact that many new and ambitious technologies have been in use inside them.
The ZONE is one of the quirkiest products to come out of Dyson so far and if this particular year is concerned, this is Dyson’s signature product for 2022.
Due to the privacy maintained so far by the company, there are many things that still are unknown to ordinary customers starting from the price of the product and the duration of its battery. Technology lovers are eagerly waiting to see how this product pans out.
