The Digital ICT Fair-2018 is set to begin on February 7 at Multiplan Centre in Dhaka aiming to spread digital literacy among mass people.
The 9th edition of this fair, organised by the ECS Computer City Centre Shop Owners' Association, will continue until February 11 with the motto ‘Digital Literacy for Everyone’.
A total of 650 companies in the country's ICT market will participate in the five-day fair.
The organising body held a press conference on Monday at association’s office located at Multiplan Centre at Elephant Road in the capital.
A logo for the event was also unveiled following the press conference.
Convener of the five-day long fair Towfiq Ehsan said that we are now living in the Digital Bangladesh, dreamt by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"Now digital literacy is very necessary for everyone for further advancement of Digital Bangladesh," he added.
The organisers said they will exhibit latest version of digital equipment as well as will offer various discounts and gifts.
A children painting competition and a cultural event will also be held during the five-day fair.
Besides, the fair will offer free entry and fair visit for students.
Computer city centre officials, shop-owners association members, organising committee members and representatives of the country's renowned ICT companies were also present at the press conference.
