a2i wins 3 awards in Malaysian exhibition

Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has won three awards.

The a2i won the awards at the International Invention Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX)-2018, held on May 10-12,

For the very first time, a2i participated in the exhibition and won two Gold Awards and one Silver Award in three different innovation categories.

A press release issued on Wednesday said, a2i received Gold Awards for innovation project "Centralised Nebulising System" in the 'Biotechnology, Health and fitness' category; and "Fuel from Plastic" in the 'Environmental, Renewable Energy' category.

It received the Silver Award in the 'Special care and Child care' category for a project called "Portable Infant Incubator."

ITEX is organised by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) every year under the patronage of 'International Federation of Inventors Associations' (IFIA).

This year's ITEX was held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre with one main goal in sight: Empowering entrepreneurs to systematically make transition from scientific discovery to commercial application.
