Eye and lip makeover dos and don'ts

Eye and lip makeover dos and don'ts

Makeup enhances our beauty and hides our flaws. Makeup is different based on the occasion you are wearing makeup. Makeover looks stunning if the steps are maintained properly. It would help if you remained concerned about the authenticity of makeup products. Otherwise, it can damage your skin layers.

Eye Makeup

Eye makeup is a cosmetic used to make our eyes noticeable and attractive. For females, eye makeup is an important part of fashion.

Eye makeup requires eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer, eyeliner, kohl, mascara, lens, and eyelashes. Whether a beginner or a pro, you need to know the dos and don'ts of eye makeup.

Eyeshadow primer and eyeshadow application:

1. To prepare your eyelids, use an eyeshadow primer or a concealer in small amounts and blend with a blending brush or makeup blender. It will help to increase the intensity of your eyeshadow colour and ensure the shadow is creaseless.

Transition shades are neutral and brownish shades, which help to blend colourful shades easily. Do not use any shimmer as a transition shade. It will not serve the purpose as these shades reflect light. Matte shades do not blend with shimmer shades. Use two shades of darker shadows than your skin tone as a transition shade.

2. Creating dimension makes your eyes look dramatic, and it involves using dark and light, shimmery and matte shades to have a 3D effect. After the transition shade, apply matte darker shades on the crease and the outer corners.

Blending reduces harsh lines and gives a creaseless shadow look. Do not over-blend. Once blending is done, apply light and shimmery shades on the lid and inner corner for bigger and brighter eyes.

3. You can wet your shadow brush before applying shimmer shades. This trick will help you to avoid patchiness and awkward-looking glittery eyes. Try new colour combinations and do further experiments. It will express your creativity and give you a unique look.

Eyeliner, Kohl, Mascara, and lashes

Eyeliner can define your eyes. There are different coloured eyeliners available—black suits well with any look. You can try applying brown or other shades which match your eye makeup.

Apply the eyeliner on the edge of your eyelids or just the outer half of the eye. Thin eyeliners are on trend. If a thick liner suits you, go for it. To replace eyeliner, you can use kohl. Black kohl highlights well. You can apply it to the upper or lower lids of your eyes.

Mascara thickens, lengthens, and defines your eyelashes. Mostly it comes in black colour. If you want a dramatic look, you can apply eyelashes with eyelash glue. Make sure you are using mink eyelashes which are made of human hair.

Lip Makeover

Lip is more highlighted than any part of our face. If your makeup is perfect, but your lipstick shade doesn't match, that's enough to ruin your makeup. When you are starting a makeover, use lip balm. It will help to reduce the dryness of your lips and look more charming after use.

Do not over-draw your lips; avoid darker liners than lipstick shades to line your lips. Instead, fill the entire lips with the liner.

Choose a nude or deep colour according to your eye makeup. If your eye makeup is darker, then apply nude lipsticks. Matte lipsticks last longer than cream lipsticks. Gloss is on trend. You can use glosses to get stunning lips.

Lastly, it would be best if you cleaned your makeup with a proper cleanser after you are done with the outing or programs to avoid skin damage.
