Youth crushed under train in Jashore

A young man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Arabpur level cossing in the district town of Jashore on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin, 26, son of Badar Uddin of Harinakunda upazila in Jhenaidah district, reports UNB.

Witnesses said Jasim was walking on the rail track when Rajshahi-bound 'Sagordari' train hit him, leaving dead on the spot around 12 noon.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore General Hospital for autopsy, said sub-inspector Moniruzzaman, in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Jashore.
