Receptionist found dead in Dhaka clinic

Police on Friday night recovered the body of a 21-year-old female receptionist from a dental clinic in the capital’s Badda area.

The deceased Liza Akhter had been serving at Haider Digital Dental Clinic since September last year. Hailing from Barguna district, she used to live with her husband, Arafat Hossain, at Maddhya Badda.

A case was filed in this connection.

Badda Police Station’s Sub-inspector Abdul Kader, who is investigating the case, said there were stab marks on the back of the body, which gives a clear indication that it is a murder.

He said they were interrogating the owner and guards of the clinic, which he expects will help them go in the right direction of the investigation of this case of death.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) mortuary for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector Kaded also said they were waiting for the post-mortem report.
