Water levels of 88 Bangladesh rivers fall, 18 rise

Some major rivers, especially the Padma, Meghna, Kaliganga, Atrai, and Dhaleswari are still flowing above the danger mark until Friday morning, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).

However, except those, all the major rivers of the country are in a falling trend which may continue in the next 72 hours, the centre said.

Of the monitored water level stations of 109 rivers, the water of 88 rivers are falling while 18 are rising and three remain steady.
