Different lower courts in virtual hearings across the country granted bail to 39,202 people in 25 working days from May 11 to June 18.
Md Saifur Rahman, special officer of High Court Division, confirmed this to the Financial Express (FE) on Saturday morning.
The courts also settled 73,116 bail petitions during the period of time under review.
Different lower courts in virtual hearings granted bail to 6,047 people in the five days to Thursday (June 14 to June 18).
The courts also settled 12,697 bail petitions during the period.
Apart from this, 536 children secured bail through different virtual courts across the country in the last 25 working days.
Of the children, 471 were handed over to their guardians.
