Some 101 Bangladeshi nationals were sent back home from the United States on Saturday following their illegal entry to that country.
They arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:00 noon through a special flight. Maximum of them are youth people, according to Brac Migration programme.
Head of Brac's Migration Programme Shariful Hasan said they came to know that each of the Bangladeshis went to the USA via different countries.
“They spent Tk 2.5 million to Tk 3.0 million each to reach in the USA,” he added.
But they were arrested by homeland security in USA and sent to deportation camp, he said.
Bangladeshi nationals were also sent back home in different periods earlier, he mentioned.
