Dilip Barua, general secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (M-L), has dismissed the US report on COVID-19 origin tracing as "fabricated, false and out of its political motive."
In a statement on Monday, he said the motive of the report has devoted considerable resources to politicising the pandemic and stigmatising the virus by deploying origin tracing as a tool.
"These will create harm to a science-based origin tracing and global fight against COVID-19," Barua said.
He said the political manipulation of origin tracing by the USA has been widely rejected by the international community, reports UNB.
Barua has urged the world community to uphold the right direction of science-based origin tracing strength, anti-epidemic cooperation and make positive contributions towards the ultimate victory of humanity over the pandemic.
