The Ministry of Religious Affairs has requested all to refrain from making any transaction with anyone before a formal announcement of the government.

The ministry made the request as some individuals and some agencies are giving advertisements for the holy Umrah on social media platforms by mentioning certain days which might deceive the devout Muslims, reports BSS.

“No official letter from the Saudi Arabia government to perform the holy Umrah has been received so far due to the coronavirus (COVID-19),” the ministry said in a press release issued on Tuesday.

A notification will be issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs over holy Umrah pilgrimage after getting consent from Saudi Arabia.

“Prior to that, all agencies or individuals are asked to refrain from such Umrah related campaigns,” the statement said
