The University Grants Commission (UGC) will accord reception to the newly appointed three national professors.
The three professors are: Emeritus Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Emeritus Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman and Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury.
UGC will arrange a ceremony at 3:00pm on 09 July at its conference room in this regard, said a press release of UGC, reports UNB.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, is expected to be present as the chief guest at the programme.
Secondary and Higher Education Division, (MoE) Secretary Sohrab Hossain will be present as the special guest.
UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan will preside over the reception ceremony where UGC members and renowned educationists will be present.
Earlier on 19 June, 2018 the government has appointed the noted educationists as national professors for a five year term.
