Two motorcyclists were killed as their vehicle hit a tree beside Talora-Jamdar road at Kalipara village in Bagura’s Kahalu upazila on Thursday.
The dead were identified as Suja Uddin Khan, 36, son of late Samsul Khan of Luknathpara village in Durgapur Union Parishad and also the former chairman of the union, and Lebu Khan, 55, son of Sabir Khan of the same village, according to UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Kahalu Police Station Sawkat Kabir said the accident took place when the speeding motorcycle carrying three people crashed into a banyan tree beside the road at around 7:00pm, leaving two dead on the spot.
