Two people were killed when a thunderbolt struck them in Santhia upazila of Pabna district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Imran Hossain, 28, son of Joynal Pramanik of Pathailhat village in the upazila, and Arif Hossain, 15, son of Afsar Ali of Shahzadpur upazila in Sirajganj district, reports UNB.
Quoting local people, Asif Mohammad, officer-in-charge of Sathia Police Station, said a streak of thunderbolt struck Imran while he was working at his eggplant field.
Besides, Arif, who came there as a worker, died while working at the melon field in the upazila in the morning.
