Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Chaptai of Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Saddam, 30, son of Tara Ali of Lohagara upazila in Narail; and Monir Miah, 22, son of Pakhi Mia of the same area, reports UNB.
Quoting locals, Kashiani Police Station's Sub-Inspector Junayed said they were mortally wounded after their motorcycle collided head-on with a microbus.
Locals took them to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex where doctors pronounced them dead.
The microbus driver could not be apprehended, the SI said, adding that the motorcycle was not registered.
