Two killed in bus-auto rickshaw collision in city

Two persons were killed and two others injured as a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of the Famous Hospital in Banasree area of Dhaka at around 11:00 am on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as the auto-rickshaw driver Md Swapon, 32, son of Md Shahid, a resident of Gangapur village of Burhanuddin upazila in Bhola district and its passenger Fatema Begum, 40, wife of Shah Alam, a resident of Adda village of Brura Thana in Comilla district. Md Bachchu Miah, Inspector of the DMCH camp, said.

 According to the source, the four people were injured in the incident and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctors declared two of them dead and the injured persons received primary medical treatment from there, reports BSS.

The bodies were kept at DMCH morgue for autopsies.
