Two condemned prisoners, who were undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College and Hospital, died on Friday night.
They are Abul Hossain, 60, of Tala upazila in Satkhira and Fazlur Rahman, 70, of Mohammadpur upazila in Magura.
The two prisoners were sentenced to death in two separate cases, said Md Kamrul Islam, Superintendent of Khulna Jail, reports UNB.
The jail authorities sent Abul Hossain to the hospital as he had been suffering from jaundice since March 19 and Fazlu was taken to the hospital after he complained of breathing problem and abdominal pain.
The bodies will be handed over to their respective family members on Saturday noon after autopsy, the jail super added.
