An army personnel was crushed under the wheels of a train at a level crossing near Banani Rail Station in Dhaka's Cantonment area on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Corporal Abdur Razzak, according to a news agency report.
Yeasin Faruk, officer-in-charge of Kamalapur Railway Police Station, said the accident took place around 7:40am when a train hit Razzak, leaving him dead on the spot.
