Traffic movement at Dhaka city’s Rokeya Sarani has been brought back to normalcy just half an hour into a protest resumed by over 1000 ready-made garment workers, police say.
Soon after the workers took to streets at Shewrapara, Mirpur-10 intersection and Agargaon, they were talked into clearing the road that goes through the areas, Mirpur Model Police Station’s Inspector (operations) Dulal Hossain told the FE on Thursday.
The situation has been normal so far, he said.
Ready-made garment workers have demonstrated for the fifth day on Thursday to push for a set of demands, including that relating to their monthly minimum wage.
