An estimated Tk 3.0 million worth of honey was sold at the National Bee Fair (Jatiya Mou Mela)- 2019, said the organisers.
The three-day fair, which ended on Tuesday, kicked off at Akm Giasuddin Milky Auditorium in the capital on Sunday with the theme ‘Bee Cultivation Increases Nutrition, Income and Harvest’.
Tk 1.1 million worth of honey was sold at the fair in 2018 said they said, adding that large number of crowd gathered at the fair this time.
Agriculture additional secretary Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf was present at the closing ceremoy as the chief guest with Director General of Department of Agricultural Extension Kbd. Mir Nurul Alam in the chair.
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak inaugurated the fair as the chief guest, organised by the ministry.
