Three people have died in a landslide while removing slope soil from a hill in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 2.30pm at Dakkhin Rajanagar area of the upazila.
According local media, the deceased were identified as Amir Ali, 37; Md Didar, 38; Sakib, 10.
Rangunia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Kamal Hossain said Amir Ali and Didar were cutting soil of the hill. Sakib was present there with them.
At one stage, a chunk of soil suddenly fell on the three people, leaving the trio dead on the spot, says UNB.
On information, fire service, police and upazila administration rushed to the spot.
