Three people were killed and six others injured after a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Pitua in Nabiganj upazila on Thursday.
The identities of the deceased are yet be known, according to a UNB report.
Bimal Chandra Bhoumik, officer-in-charge of Highway Police Camp, said the accident took place in the area around 10:30am when a Habiganj-bound bus from Sylhet fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three killed on the spot and six others injured.
The injured are now undergoing treatment at Sylhet Osmani Medical College hospital, Bimal added.
